Question: Where are you located in Hanmer Springs
Answer: We are in Chisholm Crescent which is just off the main street so we are right in the centre of the village
Question: Do you have a restaurant
Answer: No we don’t however as we are located in the centre of the village we are surrounded by restaurants and cafes so they are only a few minutes’ walk away
Question: How far are you from the Thermal Pools
Answer: We are a five minute walk or two minute drive away
Question: Do we need to bring towels for the Thermal Pools
Answer: No we will supply towels for you to use at the pools
Question: Do you have a day Spa on site
Answer: No we don’t however The Spa at the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools is only a five minute walk or two minute drive away
Question: Do you have a swimming pool on site
Answer: No we don’t however the famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools are only a five minute walk or two minute drive away

Question: Can we bring our pets
Answer: No, pets are not permitted on the property
Question: Is smoking permitted
Answer: Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property
Question: Do you sell gift vouchers
Answer: Yes we do. They are available for all of our room types and are valid for six months from the date of purchase. Contact us to arrange this, refer to the ‘Contacts’ page for our details

Question: What is your ‘Save a Service’ program
Answer: We invite guests who are staying for more than one night to contribute to our ‘Save a Service’ program. This means for every daily Room Service that a guest chooses NOT to have during their stay The St James will purchase one new tree which will be planted in Hanmer Springs by the Hanmer Springs Conservation Trust
Question: Are you Eco friendly?
Answer: We clean using the ENJO fibre cloth cleaning system which attracts and holds the dirt and bacteria effectively without the need to use toxic chemicals. The environmental impacts include reduced chemical usage and reduced chemical exposure to staff and guests plus there are no chemical cleaning odours
We encourage guests to recycle rubbish and have bins for this. We use compostable rubbish bags which break down without creating micro-plastic rubbish. Guests can also help reduce our power usage by turning off lights and heating when they are not required
Question: What do you do to support conservation in Hanmer Springs
Answer: As well as our ‘Save a Service’ programme we have funded a predator trap for the Hanmer Springs Conservation Trust to use which will help create a safer place for our native birds

Answer: Check in is from 2.30pm – late check in is only with prior approval

Answer: Check out is prior to 10.30am
